Mills Makes Winning Debut!
Andrew Mills, making his tour debut returned an excellent 36 points of his ¾ handicap of 11 to beat playing partners Josh Remejkis by one and Reece Haines-Aubert by two. Mills walked away with a brand new Callaway Razr Stand Bag as his choice from the first prize table.
Longest drive on the day was won by tour regular Kamal Lakhani on the uphill sixth hole and nearest the pin was won by David Allchorne on the tricky 15th.
All the players on the day experienced live scoring courtesey of Golf Game Book and could keep track of what was happening on the leaderboard to see how they were comparing against the rest of the field on their live scoring units. Golf Game Book certainly added to the excitement of the event, whether the players were in the hunt to win or avoid the dreaded last place! The early finishers could check what was happening by viewing the leaderboard on the big screen in the comfort (and warmth!) of the bar.
As this was the final event of the Essex Tour, the tour champion and runner up was still yet to be decided and with four players in the mix to take first or second place a truly exciting event was on the cards.
